Tanaina is an unincorporated community located in Matanuska-Susitna Borough in Alaska with a population of around 3,000 people according to the 2010 census report. It occupies a total area of 18 square miles providing ample opportunity for outdoor recreation like skiing , snowboarding , hunting etc as well as visiting Chugach State Park region to get up close view of different wild species that migrate through the area. Regional center - At the head of Cook Inlet in extreme south-central Alaska.
